Harry Carew Nott was born 1 August 1888, the son of Albert Edward Nott and Harriet Augusta Taylor. Albert Nott was for many years the manager of the SA Brewing Co.
Harry attended St Peter’s College, Adelaide from 1901 – 1907.
Harry commenced studying medicine at Adelaide University in 1908 and graduated MB BS in 1913.
While at the University of Adelaide, Nott was a cricket, tennis and lacrosse player. He was also a member of the University of Adelaide Rifle Club.
Harry became a registered Medical Practitioner in December 1913 and was appointed a House Surgeon at the Adelaide Hospital.
Nott served in both World Wars.
Nott continued with his radiology practice on his return from World War II. He was a more than a competent golfer, winning trophies at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club and, on one occasion, qualified and played in the British Open.
Harry Carew Nott passed away on 3 January 1973.
