Pam was born in Greece. Pam’s connection to Gender Studies at the University of Adelaide began in 1995 with a Graduate Diploma in Women’s Studies. Her interest in feminist theories and the way they incorporate or reject traditional philosophical ideas led to a PhD titled, ‘Derridean Deconstruction and Feminism: Exploring Aporias in Feminist Theory and Practice’. More recently Pam's research explores the intersections between, gender, race and class in Australia, focusing on the significance of ethnic cultural maintenance for second and third generation Australians. Pam is currently a full-time lecturer in the Department of Gender Studies and SocialAnalysis (GSSA).
