Located in the University Library, Tirkanthi Yangadlitya is a cultural space, accompanied by Yaitya Ngutupira a curated collection of learning and teaching resources that celebrate First Nations knowledges. Yaitya Ngutupira is available in both print and digital formats and features works by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors and scholars.
Both the cultural space and collection have been given Kaurna names, Tirkanthi Yangadlitya which means ‘Learning for future’ and Yaitya Ngutupira, which translates to ‘about Aboriginal knowledge’.
Tirkanthi Yangadlitya and Yaitya Ngutupira’s dedicated study, teaching, and reading areas create ways for students, staff, and community to meet, share, engage, and connect with First Nations cultures and knowledges.
Yaitya Ngutupira collections are located at all three campus libraries—Barr Smith, Waite and Roseworthy.
