In 2022, the University invited our community to Take a Seat, a campaign to help refurbish the Elder Hall, a place where the wonder of music has been celebrated for more than 100 years.
As one of Australia’s oldest and most distinguished tertiary music schools, the Elder Conservatorium offers comprehensive programs across all areas of the music industry. With connections to institutions worldwide, graduates achieve national and international influence as performers, composers, educators, scholars, and administrators.
As part of the Take a Seat campaign, patrons could make a tax-deductible gift and dedicate plaques in their names, or the names of their loved ones. The refurbishment is complete, but the campaign remains open, and all gifts support the invaluable work of the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
The initiative has helped revitalise the hall, and the plaques ensure the community’s generosity will be remembered.
