Education is at the heart of what we do, so our outreach programs aim to instil a love of learning. We work together with cultural, community, and not-for-profit groups to promote economic development, social fairness, and educational enrichment. These partnerships increase awareness, inform policymaking, and engage the public with shared knowledge.
Our Open Music Academy offers world-class music resources, Children’s University Adelaide fosters self-directed learning for children aged five to 14, and The Waite Historic Precinct provides educational activities around history, plants and agriculture.
Marni Wingku and Wirltu Yarlu programs promote education for First Nations school students, Ingkarni Wardli Technology Program sees First Nations high schoolers tackle real-world STEM challenges, and Karnkanthi—Kaurna for ‘lifting up’—supports senior students. An Adelaide Dental School initiative, the Community Outreach Dental Program provides dental services for people experiencing homelessness and those with limited access to care.
The Law School Clinical program runs 4 legal advice services which provide free legal advice in civil, minor criminal, family, administrative, housing, discrimination, human rights, consumer and corporate matters. Our community outreach serves as a vital resource for people who cannot otherwise afford legal support and prepares our graduates to make a difference in their future careers.
At the University, diversity and inclusion are not just words. They are values that reflect our commitment to making education a tool for real-world change and building an institution where everyone, regardless of their background, can achieve their full potential.
