Decie Denholm was a University alumna, Visiting Research Fellow, and University employee. Following her husband Lawrence Forbes Denholm’s passing in 2011, she established the LF and D Denholm Scholarship for European History students.
On her death in 2018, Decie bequeathed approximately $2.36 million to establish three funds – the Music Scholarship Fund, the Music Residency Fund, and the History Scholarship Fund. Decie and Lawrence’s passion for music led them to support the Elder Conservatorium of Music, and Decie’s establishment of the Music Residency Fund now brings world-class musicians to teach students.
Decie’s Legacy gifts, underpin the University’s financial sustainability, contribute to groundbreaking research, and help prepare our students to become the leaders of tomorrow.
