Honours thesis 'The German Settlement of Hahndorf' - Fay Gale - 1953

This series contains a bound copy of Fay Gale's honours thesis The German Settlement of Hahndorf, submitted in 1953 for her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography.

Topics covered include the early history of the settlement, including early families, economic development, trade and transport, and urban life.  Also included are black and white photographs, newspaper clippings and samples of flora from the district. The back of the volume includes seven maps, which form part of the thesis, and two sheets of library user signatures and dates.

Fay Gale's 1960 PhD thesis, A study in assimilation: part-aborigines in South Australia, is held in the Rare Books Collection (09PH G15).
