Since 1991, the University of South Australia (UniSA) has offered off-campus learning, enabling students living regionally, interstate, or who are unable to attend on-campus to earn a degree.
UniSA’s original Distance Education Centre in Underdale was established as one of eight national Distance Education Centres, which eventually grew to serve more than 4,000 students. As an early adapter and leader in the online education space, UniSA also played a key role in establishing Open Universities Australia (OUA) and continues to foster this strong partnership today.
In 2017, UniSA Online was officially launched with a suite of 11 degrees designed specifically for online learning, with a commitment to delivering accessible qualifications and unrivalled student support. UniSA Online has now grown to be one of Australia’s largest online education providers, with a diverse range of degrees and qualifications informed by world-class research.
