Grote Street Model School

Model School, Grote Street, south side. Grote Street Model School was the first fully government-funded school building in South Australia opened in Adelaide. The School comprised separate boys, girls and infant departments, the latter for children under the age of seven. The tiered infant gallery was designed to hold 100 children but the average attendance was much higher
