Gavel Presented by Scout Association of Australia, 1974

This gavel was presented to the University of Adelaide on the occasion of its Centenary by the Scout Association of Australia (SA Branch).

Timber for the gavel was taken from an Osage orange tree grown at Woodhouse, the home of Sir Richard Davies Hanson, the first Chancellor of the University - 1874-1974.
