| PREFACE. THE UNIVERSITY OF ADELAIDE was established by Act of Parliament[...]roughout the British Empire, as if granted by any University in the United Kingdom. An additional Royal Charte[...]neering, and Bachelor and Master of Surgery. The University owes its origin to the munificcncc and public sp[...]e per cent. on the cnpital funds possessed by the University, but not to exceed in any one year the sum of £1[...]e acres in the City of Adelaide as a site for the University buildings were given. The country lands were subs[...]£4,000. In order to meet the urgent needs of the University the Government, in 1920. provided an additional g[...]the departments of Physics and Engineering. The University grants degrees in Arts, Economics, Science, Law,[...]880. At first the Prolessorships founded in the University were four in number, their subjects being[...] |
