Mr. Hughes agreed to the proposal, the Honourabl[...]ormed to further the project, and as a result the University of Adelaide was established in 1874 by Act of Par[...]dy of five per cent. on the capital funds of the University up to a maximum in any one ear of £10,000, an en[...]5 acres in the City of Adelaide as a site for the University bui dings.
