Sir Claude Dixon Gibb, 1953

Chairman and Managing Director of CA Parsons and Co Ltd, Newcastle, England.  University of Adelaide graduate (ME) 1932.

Born in Adelaide and educated at the Adelaide Technical School, the SA School of Mines and the University of Adelaide, where he graduated (ME, 1932).  He made major contributions to steam turbine development.  In World War II he became Director-General of Armoured Fighting Vehicles in the United Kingdom.
