John Laurence Menadue AO is an Australian businessman and public commentator, and formerly a senior public servant and diplomat. He served as Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet from 1975 to 1976, working under the Whitlam and Fraser governments (taken from Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Menadue - Accessed 11 January 2021).

In 1983 he was awarded the Centenary Medal and in 1985 he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia.  In 2010, he was a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Adelaide (taken from Lumen Summer 2010 Issue).
