Photographs of University and Intervarsity Sports Teams - Adelaide University Sports Association, c1890 to 1998

This series contains photographs of University and Intervarsity sports teams which were affiliated with the Adelaide University Sports Association, c.1890 - 1998, although the majority of photos are dated before 1965.

Most photographs are black and white or sepia and mounted on card or on pages that were originally in a bolt bound volume with the sport, year, and in many cases the team members' names. For photographs that are not mounted, if known the sport, year and/or team members' names may be written on the back of the photograph.

Sports included are: athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, golf, hockey, judo, lacrosse, netball, rifle shooting, rowing, rugby, soccer, softball, squash, swimming, tennis and weightlifting. Also included are photographs of the General Committee of the Sports Association, 1921 - 1925, 1929 - 1936, 1938 - 1941.

Most photographs have been digitised and are available for viewing in Adelaide Connect and on Adelaide Research and Scholarship.
