All great things start with an idea. Light bulb moments have guided society to where we stand today, but an idea cannot exist by itself. An idea has to be nurtured and provided with space where it can grow and evolve.
The University’s ThincLab is one such space that creates a place for unconventional thinkers with unusual ideas. ThincLab, supported by the Adelaide Business School, was established in 2017. It is home to over 50 new ventures across multiple sectors, bringing together entrepreneurs, startups, government officials, industry experts, venture capitalists, investors, and academics.
A range of programs and activities are available to students, staff, alumni, and the wider community. ThincLab provides mentorship to guide business concepts as they approach the market, and to all founders at all startup stages. ThincHer is an entrepreneurial leadership program that fosters a diverse community of over 300 female students. Finally, ThincSeed is a tailored accelerator program that prepares new businesses pitch for investment.
We have a successful history of fostering new and innovative ideas, and ThincLab is part of the way we continue to make innovation the core of what we do.
