About the Painting: Patricia’s paintings draw inspiration from the knowledge passed down from her grandparents on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara lands (APY Lands). Her grandparents would walk between rockholes with her, looking for water, looking after and cleaning the rockholes. They would care for them and share and teach their knowledge to their children and grandchildren.
This painting was purchased by the foundational University of Adelaide Library in late 2024 as part of an initiative to bring more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art into the library.
