Framed coloured photo of a rocket sitting in a launching tower at Woomera. The launcher shown in the “Long Tom” launcher, originally built for Australia’s first successful sounding rocket, called the Long Tom, although it was used for many other rockets as well. Because of the very unusual angle from which the photo has been taken it’s hard to tell exactly which rocket it is. It could be a HAD (High Altitude Density), or a Long Tom Mk.2. However, it would need to be confirmed if Adelaide University did experiments on the Mk.2. It is confirmed The University did some ground-based ionospheric experiments with the Mk.1.
