1. 3 Fragments from one tile, with saw marks suggesting it had been excised. 3cm Thick base, flange is 6.0cm deep underneath surface is rough and greyish colour. One fragment has no flange. Tile from Pompeii used as reference sample for thermoluminescence dating.
2. Contained in brown cardboard box "Pompeii Tile".
