Terracotta tile, 27 x 17 x 1.5 cm.

One corner broken. Two masonry screws, still in place. unglazed.

Possibly floor tile. On underside a small lug is on one end.

On underside, 4 recessed rectangler, each bearing a symbol - possible J.C. and two horse shoes. Floor surface has mould and water marking.

This tile was used by Professor Prescott for his thermoluminescence research.
